We have been very busy recently making steak and chef knives, but didn't want to forgot those of you who enjoy a nice folder, hunting or collectible knife.
This week, Gregg made the first of our 6 Kiku collectible blades we currently have in stock. Each blade is different and each will be made with Gregg's own creative handle and presentation. Because this first one will make an excellent field knife as well as a beautiful collectible, Gregg chose a simple handle of Hawaiian curly koa wood with a hand-shaped molded look, kydex sheath by Kiku and is including a spare set of micarta handles for the owner in case he wants "one for show and one to go".
The blade is 130mm long and is made of OU-31 specialty carbon steel. It has been signed by Kiku and has his trademark unique damask pattern. We are certain it won't last long!
For something to use and carry every day, he also made a couple of our Kanona pocket knives. Have a look either under "Folding, Hunting and Tactical Knives" in the "Products" section, or check out our "Quick Gifts" page.
A beautiful little gentleman's pocket carry knife, the Kanona features a high-quality VG10 2.5 inch damascus Japanese blade, decorative nickel-silver bolster and filework, and of course, a really stripey Hawaiian koa wood handle. You can choose your choice of handmade leather sheath (made in the USA and really made by hand) or special order a belt carry sheath or keepsake box for a special gift presentation.
