"Do you have anything ready to ship now?"

Salter Fine Cutlery specializes in functional artwork for your dining and cooking enjoyment. We create our own knife and blade designs, then work in conjunction with individual master bladesmiths who bring our vision to life using only the finest, and highest quality steels available. Gregg Salter then creates a special handle, box, or stand for each blade using our rare stock of exotic hardwoods and various metal decorative options.

Each piece takes many, many hours to complete as both the blades and our handles, boxes, or stands are made without the use of high-tech mecanized processes and to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.

Because each piece or set is meant to be used as well as displayed, 90% or more of our products are sold by special custom order. By placing a custom order, you are assured that your handles and box fit your tastes and preferences.

However, we DO make additional pieces available for instant purchase as time allows. These pieces are listed under our "Quick Gifts" page and can be purchased either through the web site check-out process or by contacting us via phone or e-mail.  If you don't see what you are looking for, call us. We may have something either currently being made or set aside for inclusion during the holiday gift buying season.

We can also make a gift or keepsake box to accompany any "Quick Gift" item.

On the "Quick Gifts" page, you can also see what is currently in production. If you have an interest in what is described, contact us. We will be happy to provide you with additional information. You may then choose to place a hold on that item until it is finished, whereupon you will receive advance photos prior to purchase. Quite often, products being made for quick gifts have been reserved before they are completed.

Call us, we are always here to help.
