We care about our customers! At Salter Fine Cutlery, we truly do mean that and will do everything we can to help you with your questions and "after-the-sale" service.
Your knife, knife set, box or any other product carries a lifetime guarantee against defects in workmanship or materials. Your knives are meant to be used, but although misuse, abuse or accidental damage is not covered by your warranty, we will do everything we can to fix it for you at a nominal charge, plus shipping.
Please note that our warranty ONLY applies to knives purchased from Salter Fine Cutlery. Ask us about knives purchased at retail shops or galleries for warranty information. Knives purchased through third parties or resale are not covered at all by any warranty.
If you received your knife or knife set as a gift, let us know the name of our client who gifted the knife or knife set to you. Your set will then be covered by our limited warranty.
If your handles, box or stand needs refreshing, and if you are the original owner, send it to us and it will be refreshed at no charge for the first year, except return shipping. If you have damaged a box, stand, or handles, we can fix it, though there will be an hourly charge for repairs. Once the repairs are made, re-oiling or waxing will be done free of charge.

Knives getting dull? (all knives will). Or did you try your hand at sharpening and it didn't go so well? Send them to us, and we will sharpen or regrind your blades for a nominal hourly charge, plus return shipping. Included with any sharpening service, we will clean your blades and refresh your handles free of charge.
Want to learn how to maintain or sharpen your own knives? Just ask. We can send you training videos or recommend products that will help you. Or if you are in Hawaii, come by and we will teach you. (This offer applies to current owners of our products only, sorry).
