Knife sizes are typically measured by blade size.  This set features a 210mm (approx. 8") all-purpose chef knife and a 155mm (approx 6") utility knife.

These blades have been designed exclusively by and for Salter Fine Cutlery. Made with the best quality stainless Japanese steel called R2 powder metal die steel, they have an exceptional cutting edge and edge retention capabilities.

The striking claw mark pattern in polished steel together with matte finish damascus lines near the blade edge create a most exciting impression. They are signed in kanji by the bladesmith denoting their status as works of art.

For these knives, we have chosen to make the handles with a straight traditional looking shape for Asian knives. 

The faceted 8-sided design is unique to Salter Fine Cutlery with our use of premium grade Hawaiian curly koa wood with decorative accents. Decorative accents include a nickel-silver bolster and pin, nickel-silver end (pommel) caps with an ebony accent plus red and black decorative striping.
