Custom Order Knife Storage Systems: Saya / Sheath

The Japanese Saya, or sheath, is an ideal storage solution for a single chef knife that will be kept within reach in a drawer or on a counter top. Our handcrafted sheaths made of exotic koa wood to complement your knife handle, protects the blade from becoming dulled, scratched, chipped, or otherwise damaged when not in use.

Sayas are priced according to blade length and will be crafted to fit your exact Salter Fine Cutlery knife.

Sayas may be internally lined with non-reactive wood to further protect your knives and include a handcrafted ebony retaining pin to prevent your knife from falling out.

Add a custom, creatively designed stand to display your knife and matching saya, bringing an attractive conversation piece to any kitchen.

While we are happy to make storage systems for other handmade knives, knifemakers and heirloom items, we do not make storage systems for commercially available production knives.
