Designed by Salter Fine Cutlery in collaboration with Japanese knife-maker To-Un Ihara, this unique folding 130mm petty will please any chef, outdoorsman. or folding knife enthusiast.
The hand-forged VG10 textured Damascus blade was made completely by hand in Japan from one of the finest stainless cutlery steels available anywhere by Mr. Ihara, who is in his 80's. The blade has been signed by Mr. Ihara.
A petty is a small utility size chef knife and this knife will be equally happy working hard in the kitchen or as a beautiful addition to any folding knife collection. The blade measures approximately 5" long and can be comfortably worn with the accompanying handmade leather holster style sheath.
Thumbhole opener allows quick and easy opening action.
The handle features our signature curly Hawaiian koa wood plus a bolster of Mozambique ebony. Black accents frame the edges of its titanium liners. A red accent spacer between the koa wood and ebony and one large visible pin in the bolster adds a bold look.
This knife, like all our knives, has been hand-sanded to 3000 grit been treated with very durable sealers and finished with natural oils.
Sheath is custom crafted in the USA, is black, and has a hand-carved semi-basket weave pattern.
