In Stock Item: MkII Limited Edition Collectible Knife
Calling all Collectors!
Our Limited Edition Series Combat Chef is one of our most exclusive chef or collectible knife blades available. We have just created a new one-of-a-kind knife from the MkII Edition of these impressive blades.
Only 4 of these blades have ever been made personally by the hand of world renowned designer and blade maker, Kiku. We release only one a year.
The OU-31, 8-inch (210mm) blade was individually hand-forged to our design specifications by the Japanese master blade-maker and grinder, Kiku Matsuda.
It has been signed by Kiku and carries both the Kiku and Salter Fine Cutlery logos.
No two finished knives will be identical, creating a one-of-a-kind collectible knife that you can own from this very limited collection. We have had clients purchase them to use for the kitchen, for hunting, and for display only in their collection.
This one features a curved, slightly rounded handle shape of rare Hawaiian curly koa wood with Mozambique ebony trim piece, lightly flared ends, hand-forged mokume damascus bolster, nickel-silver end cap, and nickel-silver and brass accents.
Kiku’s trademark Damascus pattern with matte finish make this an absolutely impressive looking blade.
His trademark ‘magic hand’ Appleseed grind makes it incredibly sharp. The appleseed grind is the same grind used in traditional Japanese swords. To create this grind, the thickness of the blade needs to be a hefty 5mm at the thickest point, tapering toward the tip. It is a heavy duty knife for heavy duty use. Use in the kitchen or in the field with ease.
It is remarkably easy to sharpen and maintain for a carbon steel knife.
Price shown is for knife only.
Update: This knife has been sold. We have one remaining blade like this for your custom collectible.
All craftsmanship is fully guaranteed.
