In Stock Item: 240mm Damascus Sashimi Knife with Keepsake Box
New offering from our workshop!
If you appreciate a really sharp knife, you will love this 240mm sashimi or slicing knife! Preferred by professional chefs, this amazing knife will also please the most demanding home chef or collector.
You will be delighted with the look, feel and quality of this very unusual sashimi or slicing knife.
Hand-forged in Japan in the traditional Japanese style, it has the added benefit of having a unique and beautiful damascus pattern on a traditional carbon steel single-bevel knife. The 240mm (approx. 9.5") blade has an aogamicarbon core for incredible sharpness and ease of sharpening.
It has a traditional 'wa' style partial tang design.
We have added a faceted handle made from a combination of recycled exotic curly Hawaiian koa wood and Mozambique ebony with a narrow nickel-silver top fitting for added hygenic purposes.
Please note that the blade is made from traditional Japanese carbon steel. Extra maintenance is required to prevent either rust or dark spots just like you may remember from old knives your mom or grandma would have used prior to stainless steel becoming popular. We are happy to answer your questions about how to maintain and care for this amazing knife.
